When I started CQS Materials, LLC i didn’t realize it would be so hard to find drivers. I found out about John and had him train good employees that didn’t have their class B CDLs. John and Kurt were working as our enforcement officers before they retired from their first careers. Once they did, and started CDL training classes, I inquired because I had recently purchased the business from my parents and needed to get my Class B CDL with air brakes. They were offering classes, and it did not quite suit my schedule. They offered to do a one-on-one class for me. We scheduled a block of time to be in the classroom, and it worked perfectly. The day after my classroom was over, I went and tested and got my permit. We got into the hands-on driving portion, and it was invaluable. There were the requirements of earning my license along with the practicalities of being in a large motor coach on the road that were taught to me. I continued to practice on my own with some of my people supervising and when I went to take my test, I passed on the first try. The time and money value were worth every single penny and every single moment. If I had to go back and do it again, I would not change a thing.
